Doubt is a constant companion of the architect who stirs himself for the first time
in the designing chest with the earliest pencil stroke on the still virgin sketch paper, and it remains with him long after a house has been completed.
Lo and behold, I found a delightfully lively terraced house complex with 37 houses, containing almost exactly the spirit I intended to capture with my pencil from the very start.
Have I found the appropriate design answer to the building task? What does the client think, what do the colleagues think, what do I think myself? Will the users feel comfortable or will they curse the planner eternally because of some decisions? How would have Le Corbusier or Zaha Hadid solved this task?
Ten years of doubts were enough, and so I made my way to far away Liesing to find some answers.

Lo and behold, I found a delightfully lively terraced house complex with 37 houses, containing almost exactly the spirit I intended to capture with my pencil from the very start.
37 different residents / families / friends of 37 outwardly almost identical terraced houses have given each building an individual "user scent". A nicely planted front garden with forsythia, a small swing, a "sweet home" sign and even a stork (made of cardboard) took my doubts and showed me that the users obviously like to live there.
