From the living room and the bedroom there was a breathtaking view of the magical, rocky peaks of the Karawanks.

My grandmother, to whom I was very close, lived in a residential complex in the south of Klagenfurt. 

From the living room and the bedroom, there was a breathtaking view of the magical rocky peaks of the Karawanks. For me as a child from Vienna, these mountains were the most beautiful in the world. During my holidays I spent many hours looking at the cliffs and imagining how Reinhold Messner was climbing their peaks.

When Yulia from Freydis GmbH asked me in autumn 2020 to plan a small residential complex in Gallizien, I had no idea that the property had almost exactly the same view that I had always loved so much.
Of course I had to accept the job ... and what else could I do but align all the living rooms and bedrooms in the direction of Karawanken.

Incidentally, the small semi-detached houses for young families are going to be built entirely of wood.
